CJ restoration will break out an era of peace and prosperity in the country: SCBA? What have you to say?
|

Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president, Ali Ahmad Kurd, while calling off the long march and sit-in, declared that the targets for free judiciary has been achieved, following prime minister’s announcement of the restoration of the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, which would unleash an era of peace and prosperity in the country.
The overwhelming majority of the population, which has no tradition of seeking justice through existing courts instead they mostly rely on their age-old system of Jirga, where all of their matters of controversy and dispute are settled and the parties involved willingly or unwillingly honour the verdict.
Even in this case of the restoration of CJ Iftikhar, it was the Jirga of lawyers and civil society that finally won over his case of unjust deposition, as true to the tradition of the society we live in, he even avoided going through the due process of constitutionally set up Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) for his vindication from charges leveled against him and getting cleared of the charges in a civilized transparent way.

After a long struggle and confrontation people of Pakistan got an achievement, the restoration of CJP Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudhry. I hope CJP will remove all the black sheep from this society especially, the corrupt, traitors, opportunists, kick-backers, looters, defaulters, land grabbers and dacoits etc. Every human can make mistakes. The good thing is this that the mistake should never be repeated. The whole nation is looking forward for justice from Supreme Court, and I am sure CJP will give relief to this miserable nation.
I congratulate all those people who participate in this struggle, specially some journalists from media who boldly face the situation and got success. I will appeal to CJP that he should play his role and take severe action against those culprits who have misused their powers, while sitting on responsible seats. If CJP will be impartial, it will be easy for him to take decisions without any Govt. pressure. The justice should be given to each and every Pakistani without any delay. Now, the ball of justice is in the court of Chief Justice of Pakistan Ch Iftikhar Ahmed.

Bravo! Truths has to come and falsehood has vanished by the force of Allah in the end willingly or unwillingly Zardari and his paid puppets did swallow the bitter cup of poison, fatal wound of this immortal death of his party and his crook would be written in the history of Pakistan with black ink. Those who were fanning the fire against Chief Justice Iftikhar Choudhary, now has no place no hide themselves and if they are in government, and if they have some sort of shame on their face they should immediately resign and disappear from the public life in loneliness. Specially, Farooq Naek, Baber Aiwan, Rehman Malik, Malik Qayoom and main actor Musharraf and Pirzada must bring to justice these two biggest villain and ‘shaitans’ who are fully responsible for all these crises that Pakistan is suffering today.

Pakistani ruling party leaders and specially Mr. Zardari should be ashamed of their heinous political conduct of hobnobbing, lying and creating a mistrust among the people of Pakistan for a belated declaration of reinstatement of Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad Choudhry as the Chief Justice of Pakistan, which should have been done much earlier as promised by Mr. Zardari in the Murree conference. Mr. Zardari should have resigned on this issue, if at all he has some respect for the people of Pakistan. He had been playing a game of dirty politics of deceit, cheating and breach of promise to the people of Pakistan. He has already lost the confidence of people of Pakistan in him and also his reputation and integrity as a politician of honest character.
Mr. Nawaz Sharif deserves congratulation for fighting for the issue and for gaining a hero image amongst the people of Pakistan. Pakistani politicians should learn some lessons from this event and should mend themselves by setting aside using the dirty game of politics like hobnobbing and breach of promise. May Allah protect Islamic Republic of Pakistan from mischievous and selfish type of politicians, who can sacrifice the country for their own self-interests!

Drama has taken a new, but very much expected natural turn. We expect this would be a beginning for the rule of sanity against deceit. This is a situation, which amply proves that, “Before you can score, you must first have a goal.” Persistent struggle for the rule of law has scored the vital goal. Now, the next goal should be fixed for the rejuvenated judiciary to perform according to expectations of the nation and make foolproof rules of business to ensure sanctity of the nation’s rule of governance as enshrined in its constitution. Undoubtedly, it will be a Herculean task to remove all shams and install merits in all segments of our way of life. Patience will have to be exercised in initiating actions with proper planning so as to avoid stumbling. We should not act like a “snake that wants to swallow an elephant” and should bite only enough at a time that we can chew without getting suffocated. We are already on the threshold of becoming a “Failed State” and must find and plan our way out in time because, that is the foremost requirement for any meaningful existence.
A failed state is one that can no longer reproduce the conditions for its own existence and its law enforcing agencies are not capable of legally protecting its constitution enslaved by feudal lords, warlords, militants, or terrorists within the states, endangering its very existence. Being indifferent to realities is the gravest danger for the existence of any organization. So far, we have cultivated a grave tendency to react without reason in rejecting all accusing fingers raised towards us in utmost haste. Progress cannot be achieved by mere wishful slogans. Sincere efforts on planned targets are the panacea for any development. But we have dumped from the day one, our basic guideline for development given by the Father of the Nation, whom we shamelessly call the "Quaid e Azam". The Quid told us to elect leaders who are honest, maintain highest integrity, incorruptible and ready to sacrifice for their people. But, we are electing leaders by disregarding the Quaid’s guidelines by rejecting merits and electing rubber-stamp members into the assemblies, thus giving illegal legality to an illegal government through all sorts of illegal procedures by defacing constitution to ambiguity beyond comprehension.
In our existing rules of business carried over from the Musharraf’s rule, President has been given all powers to serve more interests of those, who matter most to him than masses. He has condemned all rights in rules of business to get his own right of way. He has, so far, condemned the rights and privileges of the two major parties having a very strong common point of interest. Prime Minister Gilani has succeeded this time in diverting horrible tide of distrust taking any ugly course. This should give a breathing time to all stakeholders to regain senses and re-chalk their lost tracks for moving really, on way to their real goal. Therefore, this is not any occasion for chest thumping in victory. This is only a god-gifted chance to retract back to the point of stray and re-align course of journey to the actual goal of glory for the nation.
The two main parties were both repeatedly uprooted in the past by military interventions and therefore have to watch their actions so as to forestall any repeat of such occurrences. For that matter, PPP is much more in danger because, presently it has lost all real connections with its roots in masses. Being in power on the basis of huge public sympathy votes generated for it after Benazir’s assassination, its fate is hanging by a weak string. Residual effect of its lifeline of public sympathy can only survive, as long as the popular promises of Benazir are kept and honoured by her heirs, as she provided in her “Will”. Therefore, Zardari is more in danger than Sharifs because, he has everything in hand while Sharifs have nothing more to lose. Zardari must therefore take the first step to start his journey toward reconciliation with his erstwhile partner in alliance. Without such alliance and forming other alliances under any marriage of convenience, he would be walking on thin ice and continue to have the Sword of Damocles hanging on him. He should not betray his PM’s life saving procedure undertaken in restoring judiciary by going back on his promise for yet another time, which may turn out to be one too many.
As for future engagement for the SCBA, it must now start preparing its own rules of business to ensure timely actions to forestall any recurrence of situation like this and leave the Chief Justice and other judges alone to do their work, without fear or favour.

The government has taken action on demand of the ‘sola crore awam’ and thereby recognized and accepted them as responsible citizens of the state – I guess now it is time for the ‘sola crore awam’ to also start behaving like responsible citizens and make a queue at counters, keep their localities clean and observe traffic rules.
Only I can decide where I need to stand in line, how to keep my street clean and to drive responsibly. Not Zardari nor Nawaz nor Kiyani nor Iftikhar nor Obama can do what I can do for myself. The ‘sola crore awam’ have to mend their ways for this country to improve.

This is a victory not only for the judiciary but also for the Pakistani nation as a whole. This episode has restored the confidence and self esteem of the nation. They must now realize that change can come about without resorting to violence. And that if they remain united and determined then they can achieve their goals. One hopes that this people power will be instrumental in bringing about a change for the better. Foolish are those parties and individuals who underestimate the power of the people. And if the public remains objective then this beautiful country will soon be on its way to peace and prosperity in no time. This is a nation of intelligent people and with good honest leadership and hard work they be in the world top 10 nations. As from today no one and nobody can cheat them. They have shown their worth. This is a great day in the history of Pakistan. One hopes that the establishment concerned has learned lessons in humility and as for the general public it is a time for joy and reflection. Te message is that if you can achieve change without resorting to violence all you need is unity, discipline and determination. This is how our beloved Qaid e Azam achieved his goal of establishing this country. We as a nation must not let his ideology out of sight.

I have to say that Mian Nawaz Shrif is the real hero of long march. This son of Pakistan made long march successful, if he would not have come out from his house, long march not have achieved such success because there was no other prominent leader on the screen. He was alone and he alone made the history. Mian sb we feel proud of you, you are the real and true leader and Zardari is real and true king of liars.

What was going in the country for the last two years should not happen at all. Pakistan lost Benazir Bhutto, President Musharraf fired CJ Ch. Iftikhar, Musharraf resigned, as President after huge protest and CJ Ch. Iftikhar reinstated as CJ of Pakistan after a long struggle both by lawyers and politicians that caused so much damage to our country.
I personally thank President Zardari, P.M.Gilani and Army Chief Mr. Kayani for a job well done. I urge all Pakistanis, please get united as one nation and always ready to defend our freedom, security and dignity and mutual respect and show the world body Pakistani is a great nation on earth.

I wonder how and why the people forget the wrongdoings by these criminals and they get elected again and again. At one time it was Benazir and her horses, then there were Sharif's and their mills, now we have Zardari and his feudalism. Pakistanis are really innocent. In fact, their innocence crosses boarders with stupidity. May Allah be with our beloved Pakistan and save from the convicted Zardari, his ‘chelaas’, from criminal Sharifs and their ‘chelaas’.

Lawyers and civil society of Pakistan have won! In this struggle, effort by media and in particular Geo must be lauded. Geo’s film Wadhay and on Naek was a stark reminder of what PPP leaders promised people of Pakistan before their election and how they changed their tune after they got elected. And when they saw a sea of people coming towards Islamabad and all efforts failed to stop it then they changed their story one more time that they always wanted to restore judiciary and were waiting for the right time.
Pakistan is more than sixty years old. Every time its politicians are caught lying they say sorry and get off the hook. This is no longer acceptable. They must learn to take responsibility of their actions. Those who are responsible for judiciary’s mess and ignored people’s wishes for over years, and were involved in charter assassinations and unleashed a volley of attack on those who were demanding to restore judiciary must take responsibility of their actions and should resign. If they have dementia and don’t remember what they said yesterday then Geo should run clip showing their words.

Pakistan is out of crisis for a shorter period. Let us see that CJ fulfills his promises and cleans up the justice system. If he is really sincere and wants to forget his past and other’s past, then he would be able to do drastic changes in Pakistan judiciary system. But if he is stuck in revenge tactic and try to please his supporters, then nothing will change. CJ should not even do any favour to Nawaz and Shahbaz to show and prove his impartiality to the people of Pakistan. He will be hero of Pakistan, if he really means what he said before his restoration. Pakistani people have bitter experience with politicians, judges and lawyers in the past and they all played in the hands of ruling party.

It is a great job done by COAS Gen Kayani, I don't know why the media and political parties are not highlighting the historical role played by the general. The brave soldier traveled at night to save the nation, lot of blood on the streets. A selfless drive without camera and speaker with no personal interest no hidden political game. The pride to deliver, we are paid, motivated, trained to act at the time of national crises. Please let the nation know that he has sacrificed his today for our tomorrow. Chief has provided the nation a chance to be rightly proud of our army. Once again it is the time to salute the khaki and raise the slogan of Pak army zindabad. We as a nation are always very proactive to blame, let us prove we are equally active to praise good acts.

I hope Iftikhar re-opens Zardari’s case. Now that Nawaz is out of the way. Zardari will also go inshallah then, we can have honest people in Pakistani government instead of these corrupt people (Zardari, Nawaz and many other). I hope our people learn from the past and stop voting PPP and PML-N. It is time to try something new as PTI.

I very humbly have to tell to the people of Pakistan that it is because of the timely intervention of USA and Hillary Clinton that Zardari Govt. and his like-minded people in establishment were left with no option than succumbing to the heroic protest march launched by the lawyers and the people. No doubt, it is the Geo TV, which played a defining role by showing to the masses within Pakistan and all over world that how shamelessly and deceitfully the publicly announced, written and verbal pledges of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and of Zardari himself are being betrayed by none, but by Zardari and his comrades.
We should be grateful to USA and Hillary Clinton, as without their timely and sincere intervention the rulers of this type, whose faces we have seen since the last election, would not restore an honest judiciary at any cost and at any toll, like his predecessor, benefactor and the most gruesome dictator did not pay any heed to the unequivocal demand of the nation and the long continued heroic struggle of the lawyers, nationwide? The most heinous and deceitful way he and his coteries have handled the Judges reinstatement issue playing with the burning sentiments of the nations for so long a time, and the most sly way he deposed the majority mandate Govt. of Shahbaz Sharif in Punjab, which was appreciated by a non-Muslim impartial renounced journalist as being the only effective and public serving Govt. in Pakistan, is enough to see the truce faces behind. The way Zardari Govt has wasted crores of nations' money to seal Lahore, Pindi, Islamabad and National Highway as such for crushing the democratic and just protest of the lawyers they would hardly heed to the demand and aspiration of the nation without the timely intervention of USA. Having seen all this for so long time, like me majority of the people doubt that in view of the usual deceit and shameless betrayal demonstrated by him, again and again, he may have some sly plan behind the announcement of judges reinstatement to undo the same in a way only known to him and the confidants? I wish that, this doubt and suspicion of the people may never come true and Pakistani nation may get a chance to cherish the fruits of democratic Govt.

what a magic has done by the real people and cut Zardari to its size. We still have long way to go and it will happen with people's power. We have a parlimentry type of Government where the Prime Minister is the chief executive of the Government and president is just a figure head, like in India. We still have to see who will be the Chief Exactive of the country. I have a suggestion that Zardari should resign after this humilation and appoint Amin Fahim as the figure head President of Pakistan.
