Isn’t criminal for religious rights playing onlookers after stoking fire and inviting Swat military operation?

8 The religious rights in Pakistan has a long history of playing agents provocateurs inciting innocent people to stand up and challenge the authorities time and again within and outside the country for one cause or the other. At times the cause may have been right, but the religious rights for lack of understanding of the modern techniques and skills advocated most of the times the bullish mentality of taking the hurdles head on that ended in grave misery nay in catastrophe for the people and the region, while these agents of death and doom in all their cruelty mysteriously slip out of the scene leaving the humanity to sacrifice and suffer the consequences of the misadventure for years. Isn’t criminal and cruel on the part of the ones portraying themselves as pious and piety.

8 In Pakistan unfortunately majority of mullahs come from Pukhtoons whose basic chemistry is violence. It seems only Pathans understand Islam, no one else. The easiest way to get wealth and name is talk about Islam. Since the majority of pathans are illiterates the mullahs play their cards brilliantly. Bottom line of the issue is evident that preach Islam by force and that is what we are seeing around with the truth that mullahs from pukhtoons are totally involved in this carnage. People must understand this and must never become stooge in their hands. These pukhtoons mullahs do not know abc of Islam.

8 The intertwining of political activity and religious obligation are part of Islamic Fiqr. Both are concerned or should be with the health and well being of society morally physically and mentally. The self-appointed political mullahs who twist and distort Islamic law to satisfy their own or their masters greed and dishonesty plat a major role in destabalisation of the whole country. Politically the public representatives once voted into the assemblies then become hell bent on accruing the maximum wealth in the shortest time possible and trample whoever dares to raise issues as to their tyranny. The present political hierarchy from all parties is of no stature or background. These are the leaders who allow the uneducated mullahs and political pygmies to destroy the society and eradicate any kind of common decency. The state and religion cannot be separated nor should it in an Islamic Republic what needs to be separated is the stranglehold on governance that is now handed down like an asset from father to son and daughter. How many educated pious scholars are prevented from leadership because of lack of finance or because they don’t have the requisite qualifications of criminal convictions for fraud, embezzlement or theft. The present and past leaderships claim to have been ‘political prisoners’ when in fact they are common thieves, frauds and conmen who fell foul of the law. To name but two Musharraf and Aziz have been allowed to slip out of the country without accountability, the leaders of the two main political parties and the president and prime minister are all ranted by illegality, they should not be allowed any public position until they have cleared their names of all charges and convictions why put the fox in charge of the chicken shed.

8 We have some religious parties operating in Pakistan for the last 60 years and their purpose being in Pakistan to play in the hands of Pakistan's enemies within and abroad and to ignite violent/suicide bombings. The perfect example can be seen in Northern border of Pakistan where Taliban operating freely and Swat Valley is one of them. Pakistan government must stop the practice of all these religious parties and ban them from existing and operating in Pakistan. To save Pakistan and keep stability in the country, we must get rid off all these so-called Mullahs with no knowledge of Islam.

8 Majority of the Pakistani now out of state of confusion and out of state of denial. Only a few small groups insisting to remain in opposition, only for the sake of opposition although they also condemn killings of human beings, looting of banks and shops and offices, kidnapping, societal bombing, killing of children by toys bombs, destroying schools and colleges, beating women and making them slaves, but they only like to remain in opposition. May be few have their vested interest? Some religious groups were even against Tehreek-e- Pakistan and now they are showing attitude of on lookers and spectators and even some opposing the peace restoration declared war by Pakistan Army. Some may be threatened revenge by Taliban.

Majority of Pakistani, in my opinion more than 90 % backing up Pakistan Army because
Pakistan Army is fighting for restoration of peace against enemies of peace .So it is the duty of every peace loving person all over the world to backup Pakistan Army. My dear reader you may be Pakistani may be American, you may be British, European, Australian, Canadian, you may be African or may be Asian including Indian, if you are a peace loving person, I assure you Pakistan Army is fighting to give you peace. Now the entire world is a global village. All peace loving people are very satisfied and appreciating the operation of Pakistan Army against the enemies of humanity and peace. I like to request my all readers who are reading these lines to please appreciate this peace restoration operation of Pakistan Army. Please write few lines even if you not agree with me. I am as a peace-loving person, who thinks that Pakistan Army is fighting for the peace of the entire world to eliminate the terrorists, which want to disturb the peace of the entire world. Here I also like to warn the agencies of some countries that are helping these terrorists that you are helping the enemies of humanity. If Pakistan Army cannot defeat these terrorists, then our neighbors whose agencies helping these terrorists will be the next target. So for the sake of peace help Pakistan Army and stop helping the enemies of peace. Long live humanity, long live democratic Pakistan, and long live Pakistan Army.

8 Swat military operations are being conducted on the orders from Washington, by some of the most evil men on the face of our earth. Obama etc. as we all know, are just the front for those sinister evil men. So we can say that Swat operations are being conducted on the orders of those who want to create eternal blood letting in this part of the world with great success. When people allow themselves to be taken hostage, then it is the collective fault of the people. Pakistanis allowed themselves to be taken hostage too many times by the Armed Forces. This has set precedence and thus emboldened other armed groups, like those holding the Swatis their hostage, that they also can do what the Armed forces has been doing. Basically, the fault lies with the people of the country who are ever ready to be taken hostage and would do nothing to end the cycle of unrepresentative people managing their country. Not until people, more so the educated and the intellectuals will come out to join hands to liberate themselves with the ideology of "Slave mentality" will democracy have a chance there. The "Slave mentality" is that someone must govern the country.

For as long as people, do not organise themselves to be able, collectively, to keep a control on those they elect and their elected appoint to manage the affairs of the country, will people see them liberated from the slavery they endure at the hands of the Armed Forces or by those elected but remain unrepresentative of the very people who have elected them. We all can say thus that what is being sold as "Democracy", indeed is a conspiracy to enforce upon people rule of the unrepresentative minority. We all can see very clearly as to how the Zionist mafia overrules everything in the USA. Even the courts of laws, as the evidence is there for all to see, are subservient to the will of Zionist mafia. So where is the democracy in the USA? People will never have democracy anywhere in the world until they will come to organise only one party--a party of the people, by the people and for the people. Any thing else will always cause injustice, strife and bloodshed. All Swatis people are responsible for keeping peace in Swat as much as all Pakistanis people are responsible for maintaining law and order, hence peace in Pakistan.

8 Help from everyone and anyone is needed. Help all the IDPs, financially, camps, donations and medical supplies and help them like the help that came forth during our earthquake disaster. Civil society should muster all the support. The country is at war and should be treated, as such the army needs all the encouragement, they are sacrificing their lives so that our children may have a future, they stay wake so that we may sleep and they die so that we may live. The media should stop the habitual fashionable criticism of the brave soldiers of this country. They could resort to all the war rhetoric and music for the lawyers’ march, why is it still missing now, these are the heroes they are not just sacrificing their payroll (unlike the lawyers) but their lives, risking their own children being fatherless. The media should also shoulder some responsibility and play a constructive role. It is not bravery sitting in a comfortable air conditioned safe room and criticise actions of the people who have and still are sacrificing their precious lives for the good of the country.

8 Religious rights are one of the fundamental human rights. But this remains a right only as long as an individual embraces any religious belief and adheres to it without causing any disturbance or inconvenience to other fellow human. Use of this right becomes criminal when some one would force his/her religious belief on any other fellow human or may cause direct or indirect disturbance or inconvenience to any other person to practice his religious rituals and services, whatsoever.

It is equally criminal to discriminate or ridicule any fellow human because of his/her religious belief, as also envisaged in the Holy Quran in clear words and sermon by our beloved Prophet again and again. It is much more a greater crime to force the religious belief that only the followers of a specific faith or faction deserve the blessed Jannah or kingdom whatsoever, and the rest will be disowned by the same One God of All and thrown into Hell. It is most unfortunate that during my over 50 years of research interactions with the preachers and followers of different faiths, religions and factions, now grown like mushrooms, most of them and from those claiming to be the people of the Books, almost over 90 percent of them, been preaching that only and only them are the followers of the true religion and hence, only them deserving the blessed kingdom or Heavens of Allah/God and rest all will be disowned or pushed into the hell fire?

Being many factions, each faction preaching that only them are the true followers and hence, deserving the blessings of the God? If we compare people of any such specific faction, (which are many in each religions) claiming to be the only righteous ones deserving the blessed kingdom of God, they are less than even 5 percent of the total population of the mankind. There could be no greater crime and blasphemy against the all loving, caring and equally just to all. Creator Lord of all the mankind, to even imagine that He will disown or throw into hell fire 95 percent of his beloved human children just for being into some religion, faith or race where they did not come with their own choice but with the exclusive discretion of the Same One Creator of all and same One Master of the Heavens and the earth? And where they have lived peacefully and honestly, with the fear of the God and with the love and respect for their fellow humans.

I have great respect for individual human's belief and faith unless it doesn’t hurt physically or emotionally other fellow human. But the sooner any religious faith or belief may provoke hatred or incite violence it becomes the following of the Saitan and not of the all loving and caring God. Unfortunately, Saitan the greatest enemy of mankind since Adam & Eve has hijacked the religious and political leadership of the world more effectively than ever before. Hence, with more and more advancement of knowledge and science, which should have been used to promote more and more mutual love, respect and harmony within the human community, the scientists under the aegis of their corrupt and callous political and religious leaders are engaged in production of more and more weapons of mass human deaths and destruction and promoting its marketing, all three are equally responsible for bleeding the humanity and marauding the peace of mankind. To punish a few hundreds of terrorists as was claimed by Zardari in his latest press interview at USA, to launch such a wide scale, the most ruthless and most criminal operation of mass destruction and destroying millions and millions of innocent peaceful people of God, uprooting from their homes and beloved motherland at Swat and Malakand, causing greatest exodus of helpless terrified and innocent people is one of the greatest crimes of human history in the eyes of God and the humanists all over the world. This heinous out of proportion operation devastating the people will only multiply the hatred, extremism and terrorism beyond control and spread all over the country. USA never asked for this mass exodus and as such mass murder of peace of the millions of uprooted people. USA and the international community just wanted the Govt. to get rid of the terrorists who only with their support, patronage or criminal negligence became so stronger to carry out terrorist attacks out side and inside Pakistan. But Zardari and his corrupt coteries to create a ground of getting maximum aids and cash from USA, UNO and international community did initiate the wide scale operation and exodus of the people and cut of the century's long roots of the millions of people of God from their soil. Why not UNO makes a thorough and honest investigation into the criminally acquired billions of wealth and property by these thugs and marauders of their nation and humanity? Why they are still funding them to cause deeper and deeper wounds to the helpless people of God and as such only multiplying the hatred, violence, resistance and the terrorism at large? Those who could devastate through an unwanted operation millions and millions of peace-loving people who already had remained worst victims of the terrorists, been created by the corrupt Govts, politicians and establishments could also sell their nation on their price. This is how they been breaking and selling the nation and the national interest.

8 It certainly appears to be very strange way for Sufi Mohammed to go about. First to agree to keep peace in return for Nizam e Adl and then do a U turn and make unreasonable demands and remarks thus losing all credibility. What has been going on in the Frontier province during the last few years is rather disturbing and what we are seeing now is the direct result of that era. Musharraf very unwisely had given Carte' Blanche to all those political parties that would keep him on the presidential chair. During that period some political parties have been working on personal agendas of strengthening themselves with arms and ammunition. During the past few years, armed gangs harassed the people all over Frontier province and the government of the time did not take any measures to reprimand these criminal gangs. It looks almost as if these criminals had the backing of the political parties of the time. President Mussharraf did not really care apart from his rhetoric about the War on Terror. Everyone in position was lining his/her pockets with the US Dollars that were given to curb this activity.

Then in 2009 when ANP won the majority seats and the Musharraf allies lost their seats it was as if all hell broke loose on the people in this region. People of Swat have been intimidated and subjected to horrible atrocities. Who ordered these punishments and why? Slaughtering of Swatis!!! What crimes had the Swatis committed apart from voting in the "secular ANP". And here lies the clue as to who could have been behind the horrendous atrocities inflicted on the people of Swat and surrounding areas. So much so that these wretched people have now been turned out of their home and become IDPs--shame and utter shame on all those politicians who had anything to do with this, in particular, the so-called Islamic parties. They have shown their ugly side and I do not think they will be able to reclaim their position in the foreseeable future. This must make us all wonder if we really are ready for democracy. This word is very in at the moment in our President's vocabulary, but was he able to provide protection to the people of Swat during the last 15 months. The answer is "NO" he was not. And now with this thoughtless knee-jerk reaction he has made millions homeless and unleashed untold misery on these people. How can anyone, who is remotely responsible for this crazy act will ever be able to sleep in peace? This goes for everyone internally in Pakistan Islamic groups and others and externally as Talibans US and all other agencies involved.

The Islamic political parties should in particular hang there heads in shame for it was there duty to bring the Taliban to tow the line in Pakistan and to discourage them to bring their war into this country. Then in the same breath what can you expect they do not even agree among themselves? They keep calling each other "Kafir" and can't even agree on one Shariah law amongst themselves let alone impose it on 170 million people in Pakistan. We cannot have different Shariah law in different cities for different groups. I am sure Pakistanis certainly do not want Shariah of the Taliban. Thank you very much they can take back to Afghanistan. We have our own culture and they forgot that people of Swat have their own way of life and there is nothing wrong with that. What is important is the writ of the state and unity and security of Pakistan regardless of anything and anyone and this should be protected at all times. The previous government and the government of the day have been less than diligent and did not take timely action, which was to impose the law. The federal government has been far too busy playing dirty political games in Punjab and keeping the Chief Justice out thus overlooking the dire situation that had been developing in the Northern Areas. I hope they are really aware of the dangers they have put the country in now. I wish that this military action is going to be short and decisive and the refugees will be able to return home very soon. Otherwise, we are in for very difficult times ahead.

8 Isn't it a bad and sad repetition of the last despot Gen. Musharraf's strategy for Lal Masjid, allowing the extremists to build up and run overboard by getting a free hand to have their way and then launch a ruthless action, subjecting both guilty and innocent to extreme misery and getting slaughtered by its own army? The agreement with Sufi Mohammad was an act of the worst naivety by the ruling class and letting them have free hand, despite immediate flagrant violation of whatever the agreement was, till the extremists thought, they got well trenched and became strong enough to cross specified borders. How do you define the trait of good judgment for leadership?

8 What abomination and utter profanity to slap the advocate for religious rights as criminal!! The holier than thou attitude, it is obvious, is not the forte of the 'fanatic' Mullah. Our muddle headed pen-pushing mavericks could don any hat that they find convenient to qualify for the moderate and the modest. For record sake, the 'criminal' was once a popularly elected parliamentarian. His piety was unquestionable, as amply corroborated by the fact that a huge majority of people of Swat trusted his judgment. When the Swat Truce was approved by predominant majority of our NA, there was an instantaneous wave of fervor and jubilation that all electronic media projected and headlined in their programs. Sanity prevailed schools and shops opened and once people of Swat could indulge into their bread-winning norms without flap or flutter of fear. Is it not democratic dictate that majority wins? Didn't the Mustaqil Qaomi Musibat create 'No-Go' areas and through their reign of terror, entered Karachi into record books, as one of the scariest cities to live. The deadly mayhem and the bloody episodes of murder and mutilations are exempt from judicial inquiries. Though within the ambit of Pakistan's laws and rules, but granting entry into Karachi is the prerogative of the Mafia Inc and the list of denials include the CJ Iftikhar M Chaudhry and Imran Khan, besides many others.

Returning back to the subject of 'criminal' playing 'onlookers' roles, one does not have to invent stories or manufacture excuses. Failing in their desperate bid to malign Swat Truce and stall it, the West played their trump card, dangling lavish carrots of gilt-edged promises - money and modern weaponry, which the kleptomaniacs could never refuse. Czar Zardari was summoned to Washington, and the mendicant Establishment prepared their stratagem by recanting the Swat Truce and ordering the military to crush the Taliban advancement. The army obliged and their full deterrence - save the nuclear arsenal, a major concession to the compatriots of FATA and Waziristan - was utilized to teach Talibans a lesson of their lives. Helicopter gun-ships, tanks, heavy field guns, mortars, aircrafts and deadly missiles were used with odious overstress. A sledgehammer used where a mallet would suffice. Today, millions of our own countrymen are shelter-less refugees, victims of brash and brazen chutzpah of a fledgling govt. pushed to the precipice by their own insipid ineptitude.

'Stoking fire' - what fire? The Truce ushered in sanity and peace. There is a general consensus of opinion in Swat that the Truce brought back the tranquility, which marked the beauty of Swat. And the usually composed and congenial YRG mouthed allegations against Taliban that essentially outlined the dictates from Washington. The Talibans have taken on the joint destructive powers of superpower and its allies and are still holding their grounds. Compared to the superior weapons and logistic supremacy of the Allied forces, Pakistan onslaught is weak and wanting. And the day is not far when the troops realize that their motto "Jihad-fi-Sabilil Lah" has been corrupted by the conceited and contrived actions -not related to professionalism, but to political prodigality.

Swat military operation was politically motivated - not domestic, but with a view to defuse international apprehensions or antagonism. Czar Zardari had to prove his credibility and credence by conflagration of the country to get monetary aid. His rule and eminence is teetering on the verge of collapse. In the present state of conflagration, Czar Zardari has graduated from Czardom to Emperor Nero who fondly played flute while Rome was burning. The remorseless military expedition that displaced millions of their homes and hearth would simply not peter away into oblivion. Armies win wars with the support of its countrymen and when this support is renounced, rejected and repudiated, the morale vanishes and they stand vanquished.

8 Yes, I agree that religious rights have a long history in Pakistan specially, in Pakhtoonkhwa to allure the straightforward Muslims to their folds in order to fulfill their nefarious designs. During 16th century a Mulla called Bayazeed Ansari gathered Yusafzai tribe (which is nowadays in trouble) around him but soon the tribe realized his real face and they killed him and burnt his body on the bank of river Indus in Tarbela and his deciles were forced to leave the area. After running away from Mardan and Swat these bandits took refuge in Waziristan where they were crushed by the government of that time. Again in the 19th century Syed Ahmed shaheed popped up from India in Mardan against Sikhs. Yusafzai tribe made him their leaders and they pushed the Sikhs away from Mardan. Syed sb, established his govt. in the area comprising Mardan, Swabi, Bunir and Swat. But soon his real face was exposed to them by his bedouin style of ruling like beating people for not praying and superseding customs and practices of Pakhtoons through sharia weddings etc. The yusafzai tribe revolted and killed all his mujahids in one night and syed sb was spared to leave the area and he ran away to Balakot. The recent crisis of Talban is exactly the same as has been said. And it is expected that the Talban will meet the same fate as were meted by those earlier rights.

8 The Mullahs were given a chance and they blew it by not adhering to there side of the bargain. Shariah Law under the umbrella of the state is what the people of Swat and surrounding areas wanted and not the draconian barbaric Taliban Shariah. These Mullahs had a hidden agenda, which did not take long to show its face. It is very sad that Islam being used by these mean and selfish power hungry clergy and it really is a lethal weapon in their hands. It is time that learned Ulema all over the world look at this situation objectively and set the course of Islam in the 21st century otherwise the present set up will push us back into dark ages. Illiterate clergy has manipulated the ordinary poor uneducated youth to wield their power. Now we have this new phenomenon Taliban Shariah. Where are we heading. Certainly, we have seen that the people in Swat have rejected the barbaric Taliban Shariah, which is allowing human beings to be slaughtered. Is that what the Jamaat-e-Islami, JUI and other Islamic parties want to be associated with. They should understand that this would do an untold damage to the name of Islam. It will tarnish the image of Islam everywhere. Now is the time to put aside our mistrust in the West behind and set our course for the future for now we have enemies within as well. Admittedly the west does have its own designs, but to go around looting killing and slaughtering your own Muslim brothers is sickening. Islami parties will lose their credibility vote pool for all times, if they do not condemn these sick lunatics.

Dr.S.Qureshi

8 Mullahs of Punjab are more violent as seen internationally dangerous and violent organizations based in Punjab such as Lashkar-e- Jhangvi, Lashakar-e- Taiba and Jamaat dawa. They are not less violent than Qazi Hussain Ahmed of JI, Maulana Fazal Rehman and Taliban. This is common trait of behaviour in every religious person whether he is Pakhtoon or Punjabi or to any other nation. Pakhtoons were non-violent before an Indian muhajir General Ziaul Haq took over the reigns of this country. He along with USA and KSA are the real culprits for the menace of Taliban. Before that Pakhtoons were quite non-violent and their great leader Abdul Ghaffar Khan ran a non-violent movement very successfully against Britishers for independence though thousands of Pakhtoons were killed and thousands were tortured and kept behind bars, but they didn't take up arms even against the foreign occupiers and took out only peaceful processions and held peaceful public meetings everyday till the Britishers were not forced to leave their land.

8 People in Pakistan realize that a section of media and right wing political parties have been supportive of 'Taliban' activities. Lal Masjid episode was the beginning and hopefully Swat conflict is going to be the end of extremism in Pakistan.

M. A. Jaffery

8 There are some similarities between Pakistan Movement (Tehreek-e- Pakistan) and Operation Rah-e-Haq (Peace Restoration Operation to Save Pakistan). The aim of Pakistan Movement was to get Pakistan and now the aim of Rah-e-Haq operation is to save Pakistan. Some religious groups were opposing Pakistan Movement and now also almost the same groups are opposing the operation to save Pakistan. A migration of people took place in the movement of Pakistan and now also a migration of people took place at that time most of the nation helped their migrants and today also a large number of Pakistani helping these migrants. Abdul Sattar Edhi, MQM, PPP, ANP and PML-N and PML-Q and others parties and NGOs and our friends of Pakistan are helping these refugees. Allah Al-mighty helped Pakistan in the past on 14th August.1947, when Pakistan came into being in spite of doubts created by some religious fundamentalists and Inshallah with the help of God we will also succeed in Pakistan saving operation and the doubts of the doubts creating elements will be found baseless as the successful Operation Rah-e-Haq will proceed and complete, the enemies of peace and enemies of Pakistan will be finished. Then, the doubt creating elements will be shameful like they were on 14th August.1947.

8 I think that it was needed at this. Taliban were given a choice to live peacefully and prove their system ( Nizam-e Adal) but instead of focusing on that they took over other parts of the country. I even heard words like, why do we need constitution. Well why do we need this country, why do we need police and army; we can just finish all this and start jungle rule following Taliban's way. I guess that no one would live civil life in Taliban's rule. Because for them rule is what Taliban wants regardless it is right or wrong. If they were peaceful persons, then they would have accepted the truce and instead of spreading towards other parts of country, should have proved their system first in the parts they were already given opportunity to prove their system. But they did not have any plan of proving themselves. They only talk language of killing beating and harassing people to follow them. I call it Nizam-e-fear not nizam-e adal. We should clean these factions and let people follow Islam freely not in the fear of Taliban. We should pray to Allah because we believe in him and have fear of Allah not Taliban. May Allah bless us and guide us to right direction.

Mazhar

8 Swat operation should have started on a very early stage, although it's quite late, but it is good that military operation has started, and it must be carried out until all these militants are finished. The weakness of this democratic Govt. then encouraged these militants so much that they started dreaming to rule in Pakistan. Mr Zardari made a peace agreement with these so-called illiterate Mullahs who don't know even abc of Islam and this was his blunder mistake, although he did many mistakes on the advice of his advisors, but this move destroyed the whole country. I will request the chief of armed forces that he must also destroy those militants who are moving in our society. It is due to those militants (mullahs & Qazis) that today our forces are fighting in our own country against these Islam terrorist. First these Mullahs preach them negatively, trained them with full military training in their madarsaaz and back out from their backs and let them die with this assurance that they will all go to heaven. I think all such type of religious Mullahs and Qazis should be also be hanged, so that their production of militants should be stopped forever. We are in a war situation and it is due to these moulvees who are playing in the hands of our enemies with this dream that they will rule in Pakistan. These fools have created the same situation, which was in 1971, and our half part of the country was detached from us. I will request all the political parties to donate generously for the victims of swat people, just empty their bank balances, which they have looted from this country and help these victims. There will be no mullah or moulvee who will empty his pocket for these people. They will simply give big statement on tv or to media, but they will not do anything practically for these victims.

Raza M.Qureshi

8 There are 35 to 45 thousands Taliban fighters hiding in and around Swat valley and Pakistan army having a tough time to kill them or arrest them alive, these brain washed Taliban fighters have no future, no jobs, no family, they don't care for their own life, if Pakistan army kill all of them the better Pakistan future will be otherwise these Taliban fighters may strike again. Since lots of financial aids, food, goods, tents, medicines arriving in Pakistan for the refugees in the northern border of Pakistan, I would suggest Pakistan government, please use these funds to the betterment of these refugees by building homes, hospital, school, college, roads and bridges, create jobs for these refugees so that they can start their new life after all Taliban fighters killed or gone back to Afghanistan, also Pakistan army should seal off the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan and must have a better border security force. Remember Pakistan security and freedom first.

Taj Ahmad

8 As a patriot Pakistani, it pains me that people in authority are entrapped in a state of self- delusion and self-deception. While a crass PM is burdened with responsibility to extinguish an all consuming fire that threatens the solidarity of the country, a vagabond President is away from his base, originally scheduled to meet the US bigwigs for six days, and then return home to handle the climactic showdown between the army and the Talibans. Is it not manifest dereliction of his duties; or does he think it is not his concern or his charter of responsibility exempts his presence; or that his presence may complicate the ongoing efforts. From the reports that emanate from the local New York press, it is obvious, the Duke of Deceits is renewing his acquaintances with his former underworld pals when he was convalescing in New York - under late BB charge. From here he has flown to UK and has an extensive open-ended program to stay outside Pakistan at the country's fragile and famished funds. This is plain and simple: " ... playing onlookers after stoking fire and triggering Swat military operation".

S. Nasrullah

8 This is not a time for Pakistani people to playing with the words by twisting it, and blaming religion for everything what is happening in Pakistan. A very dangerous game plan has already been set up and efforts are going on to break up Pakistan into pieces by showing the world a very dangerous nuclear face of Pakistan, which might go into the hands of terrorists, so capture the nuclear bomb and divide Pakistan into many parts.
First Iraq and now it is Pakistan. Why Iraq first because Iraq was the most educated, developed and oil rich Muslim country. It had a potential to develop into a viable Muslim power among all the Middle Eastern counties. But now the game is over because now the economy is shattered Shias, Sunnis and Kurds will go on fighting and killing each other for long time to capture the resources and political power and the U.S. Army will have a permanent base in that country.

The second is Pakistan because Pakistan is a nuclear power and is highly educated and then geographically it is very important because Muslim countries surround it from all sides except India and then it has a powerful military supported by well-organized intelligent Agency ISI. If Pakistan becomes an Islamic State it can affect the other neighboring countries too, which any Western nation cannot swallow because after the debacle of Soviet Russia it is only Muslims and Islam is the next target.

Pakistan is already a criminal infested society, crime is rampant everywhere. Majority of Pakistani people are poor, they have very short means barely to survive, the doors of justice and courts are beyond their reach. School education is very costly for them they send their sons and daughters to Madrassa for religious education. So one section of people are school and college educated (doctors, lawyers and civil servants, army officers) the other side of people are poorly paid Imams, Madrassa teachers. There are people of two different thoughts-- one strictly religious and the others are liberals, modern (western). The influence of religion is so deep in the Pakistani society that it is very hard to say it can succeed to wipe out the influence of religion from the country rather it will go more deeper as much as the Army will try to suppress it as we have already seen it in the incident of Lal Masjid and Madrassa Hafsa. So it is a very delicate issue but the western powers want the religion to be eradicated even at the cost of Pakistan. Now the only thing that can save Pakistan that Pakistanis should be united and show their solidarity and should not dance at the tune of western powers, which are bent upon to destroy Pakistan. The eyes of leaders of Pakistan are only on the American aids, which is promised to be in billions, but they are not far sighted they cannot see the unity and integrity of the country, which is in great peril.

8 Probably, Swat operation is a covert plan to achieve some sinister targets riding on the tide of noble duties of our armed forces forced into the tight corner through a series of well-calculated maneuvers. Our good for nothing politicians are perfect tool specially engineered into the position they now hold by those who are running the show. Apparently, religious rights are being stoked and spurred at the most vulnerable points under a delicate process, well rehearsed at various places like Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa, to get the intended results under a chain reaction of emerging events that take place when given ingredients are put on fire and stoked.

What could be the results intended out of the operation? Should we accept the whole situation real, as we are being made to believe? A sinister simple and visible intent could be, “Evacuation of Swat” for some reasons that must be kept secret from us, for obvious reasons. Swat was known as Pakistan’s best tourist resort frequented by people from every part of the country for spending holidays. It is highly appalling that militants being called “Swat Taliban”, a new name and entirely different entity than the Taliban earlier known to the world are playing havoc with peace-loving people of Swat forced to evacuate their homes for them to do whatever they intend with the empty lands. Nobody knows what their financial resources are and where from they are getting huge supply of fighting arsenal and horror generating equipment. Their looted money from a few local banks cannot sustain any fight, not to talk about fighting highly professional Pakistani armed forces strengthened by the heavy infusion of the US assistance. Normally, such confrontation should be an insulting situation for any country forced to fight its own people, but nobody appears to care about it in Pakistan.

Various defense analysts had reported in the US media during Bush period about his doctrine that, “Without escalating terror itself, war against terror cannot be hiked.” Therefore, Waziristan terror outfits being droned became a center for the weapons of mass terror production. Same designs have now been extended to Swat. Perhaps, the new breed Taliban are specially created and trained by those who are keeping them equipped with all the high-tech devices required for propagating terror in its several manifestations. Definitely, the Bush Doctrine is still being used. If Obama’s initiatives are based upon the same concept of increasing terror to subdue terror, than he has to learn from history. His promised policy of “Change” is nowhere to be seen in this part of the world.

Who are the religious rights playing onlookers? This is a very sensitive question raised. It is akin of stoking fire in itself because, hard-boiled indifferent religious leaders can hardly agree that they are being used as a tool. To understand the design better, we need to re-visit history of some similar events. Remember, Hassan bin Sabah had used Muslim religious believes and unfaltering faith as a tool to launch his nefarious anti-Islam plan that killed several top Muslim scholars through his specially created assassination squad he named with clear sinister intentions as “Fidayeen”. We should also not forget all those twisted and oblique minded self-proclaimed “prophets of Islam”, having single point agenda of causing serious harm to the essence of Islam by using it according to their own twisted logic. We already know 72 such cases of division in Islam and the current situation appears to be developing into another one. The common factor that needs to be noted is, they all have called others not believing in them being “Kafir” and liable to be killed.

8 In Pakistan there are no religious rights. In the west we have religious rights. Whatever mullah says the MP of the area does. The Swat operation must continue and finish all these idiots with AK47. Lastly, any government now must realize that all these mullah parties are the main terrorists parties and should be banned and wiped out from Pakistan. Anybody in Pakistan who has more than 3 inches beard must be punished even if it is cricketer Yousaf Yohanna.

8 Those in Swat they are criminal terrorist and they have nothing to do with Islam including Sufi, Muslim, Fazal) they are enemy of Pakistan and I fully support Pakistan army to finish and kill them all, they are enemy of our coming generation. I am a Muslim and have better knowledge about Islam than these terrorists, which I mentioned above. Dear Pakistanis, this is our country and these terrorists are agent of foreign agencies. Kindly help the innocent Swat people and do full support to Pak army who are saving our country and I request to the Pak army don’t arrest these terrorists, just shoot them. The media should not favour the enemies of Pakistan by calling them extremists instead of the terrorists, which they actually are.
